Classy Mark Five
This deck was still in very good condition when it was brought to me. Owner Bobit Silerio wanted to have it changed according to his personal preference. It underwent a full refurbishment job. Main diecast frame and tonearm sections including tonearm mounting plate are finished in glossy jet black using polyurethane automotive paint. Rubber base repainted and platter have been slighty (1-step) re-faced. All LEDs are replaced with super bright blue. Tonearm pivot bearings lubricated and entire assembly calibrated to factory setting. Motor spindle also lubricated and pitch control calibrated. RCA cables are restored to its original since they are still in prestine condition. Ground wire internally grounded. Just like MK3D/M3D and MK5G/M5G units, the MK5 doesn't have hinges for the dust covers. Bobit provided a new dust cover and this unit was installed with hinges since this deck will be used only for home vinyl playback and not for DJing/mixing purpose(s).
