From Ugly to Beauty
This one belongs to a client Ivan Esec, who drove more than 150kms from San Pablo City just to bring it to me for general refurbishment. Seen below are the before and after pictures. Finished in super dark grey. Same as the original color of the 1210 series. I mixed up some paint until I got the exact shade then painted the main body frame and tone arm section. Repainted the rubber base with flat black vinyl paint. Replaced the aluminum pitch decal for 1210 version. This unit didn't have the entire pitch assembly (pitch control, pitch control knob, pitch PCB, holding plated, wires and connectors) so I provided the parts for it. Also replaced the strobe and pitch indicator to bright blue LEDs. 33/45, pop up lamp with bright white LEDs. Repainted and refaced the platter and replaced the RCA cables and connectors.
So basically, this deck was transformed from a 1200 junk to a fully restored 1210 except the Technics label tampon stamped on the main body frame.
